CAMBODIA: PHNOM PENH & BATTAMBANG
FLY INTO PHNOM PENH
Once you land, Christopher and our team of Vietnamese nationals will meet you at the airport and drive you to Raffles Hotel Le Royal Raffles Phnom Penh, our favorite 5-star hotel located on an elegant, tree-lined street in the city’s central — it has one of the best jazz clubs in the world.
You will spend the day relaxing by the pool and resting from your flight.
EXPLORE PHNOM PENH
You’ll tour with one of the city’s leading historians — a multilingual guide whose insight brings the city’s past to life. She will guide you through Phnom Penh, highlighting its elegant French architecture and offering perspective on Cambodia’s difficult past as you visit the Killing Fields.
DRIVE TO BATTAMBANG
We’ll drive out to the countryside to visit Battambang.
North of Phnom Penh is Battambang. This beautiful city is known for its well-preserved French Colonial architecture, hilly countryside, and ancient temples. There, we will ride bikes throughout the city while learning about the city’s history.
We will return to Phnom Penh that evening.
CAMBODIA: SIEM REAP
FLY TO SIEM REAP
Fly to Siem Reap, a town famous for its ancient ruins.
In Siem Reap, we will stay at the stunning Amansara resort. While there, you will explore the Angkor Wat ruins with a respected local guide who has explored the temples for decades. They will allow you to enter the ruins from the west gate to avoid the crowds and get pictures of the ruins with no one else around.
EXPLORE ANGKOR WAT
Soak in Cambodia’s most storied city and take the day to soak in the local culture. In the evening, we will bring you to our dear friend’s home for a traditional Cambodian meal.
REST IN SIEM REAP
Bike and walk around Siem Reap or lay back and relax by the pool. This is a great opportunity to recharge before our flight to Vietnam.
VIETNAM: HANOI
FLY INTO HANOI
Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital.
Once we land, we will take you to Capella Hotels and Resorts, our favorite 5-star hotel near Hanoi’s Old Quarter. You will spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool and resting from your flight.
CITY TOUR OF HANOI
We’ll show you all Hanoi has to offer.
Spend your first full day in Hanoi exploring the city’s centuries-old architecture and historical sites, like Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature, and the Hoa Lo Prison. In the evening, we’ll take you to the city’s famous French Quarter for the best street food.
BOAT TO HA LONG BAY
Board the Heritage Line for a cruise to Ha Long Bay.
We’ll leave Hanoi and board the Heritage Line Violet, a French-Indochinese-designed luxury vessel that holds up to 6 couples. The boat will take us to Ha Long Bay, an area known for its towering limestone mountains and emerald waters.
EXPLORE HA LONG BAY
Enjoy stunning water views and food beyond reproach.
During your stay on the Heritage Line Violet, we’ll take you to little-known places along Ha Long Bay that are far from the crowds. Enjoy luxury amenities while you’re onboard, including food from the boat’s French-Vietnamese chef.
RETURN TO HANOI
Disembark the Heritage Line and return to Hanoi for the evening.
We’ll spend the night in Hanoi before heading off on our next adventure.
HOI AN & DA NANG
HANOI TO HOI AN
We’ll visit Vietnam’s central coast in Hoi An.
When we arrive in Hoi An, you will stay at the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, a tranquil 5-star beach resort — our friends at the Four Seasons will treat you like royalty.
Depending on the timing of your trip, we may also stay and dine at our friend’s private home, a breathtaking retreat among the rice fields.
BIKE TO AN BANG BEACH
We’ll guide you along one of our favorite scenic routes — a peaceful bike trail that winds past villages and rice fields, ending at An Bang Beach for a seaside lunch. Dinner that evening may be a 13-course meal at NAYUU, a Japanese restaurant at the Four Seasons, or local cuisine in town.
SEE THE TOWN OF DA NANG
A day of beachside adventures and a memorable riverside meal.
On our last day in Da Nang, we will take you into town for shopping and exploring the beaches. At night, we’ll eat riverside at Mango Rooms, a Vietnamese fusion restaurant owned by our friend, Chef Duc.
FLY TO HO CHI MINH CITY
Our last destination is known for its rich history and delicious cuisine.
You will stay at the iconic Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). It’s a short walk from many of the landmarks and locations we’ll visit in the city.
VIETNAM: HO CHI MINH CITY
EXPLORE HO CHI MINH CITY
See historic and modern landmarks in the heart of the city.
We’ll spend our first day exploring the Mekong Delta River and Cu Chi Tunnels.
